New expanded location!
From its humble beginnings on Melrose in Hollywood to the fast growth entering into the community of new galleries early on in downtown’s Gallery Row, L.A. Center for Digital Art and its director Rex Bruce have been an international digital art dynamo. LACDA is now expanding once again moving directly across the street to 102 W. 5th. The new space at corner of 5th and Main is nearly 4 times the size of the current location and is a beautifully appointed gallery with new lighting and space for several exhibits to run simultaneously. As well, the new space features very large window displays making opportunity for more public art, something that has always been part the LACDA vision. There is much larger workspace for the creation of prints and fabrication of artworks. There are also plans for an electronic audio studio and a video exhibition room. The new location is opening on March 10 concurrent with the Downtown Art Walk with an array of exhibits on view.
